Programme Director β Pensions Investment Management Transformation
About the Role
We are seeking a very experienced Programme Manager or Programme Director to lead a multi-year technology, data and operational transformation. This high-profile initiative is focused on modernising platforms, reducing operational complexity, strengthening resilience, and establishing scalable, future-ready capabilities that deliver improved outcomes.
This is a hands-on leadership role with accountability for end-to-end programme delivery, spanning design through implementation, across multiple strategic workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Own and lead the end-to-end delivery of a complex Investment Management Operating Model transformation programme.
β’ Drive delivery across multiple interdependent workstreams, including process and tool standardisation, Investment Book of Record reimplementation, and strategic data platform delivery.
β’ Manage complex sequencing, dependencies, and integration with existing legacy architecture.
β’ Provide strong, visible leadership to programme teams, ensuring effective governance, resourcing, and delivery discipline.
β’ Lead stakeholder engagement at senior executive level, aligning delivery to strategic objectives and organisational priorities.
β’ Champion enterprise-wide change management and business readiness to ensure sustainable adoption.
About You
β’ Proven track record delivering large-scale platform and operating model transformation programmes within investment management or financial services.
β’ Strong hands-on delivery capability, comfortable reviewing detailed artefacts and driving teams towards outcomes.
β’ Deep understanding and experience of investment management platforms, including Investment Book of Record and middle-office transformations.
β’ Highly developed stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge senior leaders constructively.
β’ Demonstrated experience managing complex programme environments involving multiple workstreams and legacy systems.
- β’ Strong capability in process standardisation, data governance, and change management.
