This is an exciting opportunity to join the exams team within an outstanding Sixth Form College. We are seeking proactive individuals to provide an excellent level of support to both staff and students in the College.
The Role:
This role is one that can make a real difference, helping provide students with the best opportunity to achieve the qualifications they have studied so hard for. Exams are among the most important and stressful events in the life of any learner: that’s why it’s so important they are conducted in the correct way and our Invigilators are crucial to this process.
We are currently looking for additional Invigilators, employed on a casual basis, to help oversee both internal and external exams this academic year. Joining an established team, at this outstanding college, you will support the running of exams in a highly regulated environment. You will need to be reliable and punctual, able to relate to learners, and comfortable in a high‑pressure environment.
Your duties will include:
- Setting up examination rooms
- Checking attendance
- Observing candidates
- Collecting scripts
- Liaising with students and staff to resolve queries
Prior experience of invigilation and JCQ guidelines will be an advantage, however, full training will be provided.
Please complete the attached application form and equality monitoring form and email all completed applications to recruitment@prospecttrust.org.uk by 9am, Wednesday 8 July 2026. Early applications are encouraged, as the Trust may at its discretion elect to both interview and select candidates on an immediate basis.

Prior to the interview, an online search will be conducted by HR, to identify any past or current incidents or issues that might affect your suitability to work with children and undertake this role. Please note this online search will be carried out only on publicly available information and be limited to issues relating to your suitability to work with children and/or in an educational environment. Issues that arise will not automatically be a bar to your employment at the Trust but may be discussed with you at interview. This is in line with statutory guidance in Keeping Children Safe in Education.
We welcome applications from all suitably qualified applicants, however all disabled applicants who meet our minimum criteria will be invited for an interview. WMAT is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people within our care and requires all staff and volunteers to share and demonstrate this commitment.
