Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and forward-thinking Staff Nurse to join our expanding Discharge Lounge team at Frimley Park Hospital.
The Discharge Lounge plays a vital role in supporting patient flow and hospital capacity, ensuring patients are safely and efficiently transferred once they are ready to leave the ward. As a Staff Nurse, you will work both independently and collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, safe, and compassionate care throughout the discharge process.

Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for promoting the use of the Discharge Lounge by identifying suitable patients, supporting and encouraging ward staff to utilise the service, and ensuring that every patient’s needs are met during their transition. This role requires excellent communication, clinical judgment, and organisational skills, alongside a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
