Main duties of the job
As part of our multi-disciplinary team, you’ll work alongside skilled professionals – including Registered Nurses, ODPs, Assistant Theatre Practitioners, Healthcare Assistants, and Trainee Nursing Associates – in an environment that values collaboration, clinical excellence, and continuous learning.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
You’ll work as a vital member of the theatre team, supporting safe, effective, and compassionate care. Key responsibilities include:
- Scrubbing and assisting for surgical procedures across various specialties
- Promoting safe and efficient use of equipment, consumables, and staffing
- Maintaining high standards of infection control, safety, and clinical documentation
- Supporting communication and teamwork across departments
- Contributing to staff training and mentoring junior colleagues
- Assisting with stock control and theatre readiness
- Supporting the Trust’s Clinical Governance, Quality Assurance, and Risk Management objectives
Shifts cover a 24/7 rota, including long days (07:30–19:30), nights (19:00–07:30), weekends, and bank holidays.
There may also be occasional opportunities to support our hospitals in Wexham and Heatherwood across the Trust.
