Band 4 OT Assistant Practitioner – Orthopaedics & Surgical Services

(Prior experience as an OT assistant is essential).

To provide excellent, high-quality person-centred clinical care that advocates for patients, strive to provide a service fit for today and the future, develop personal leadership to support clinical growth.

The post is a key part of the OT discharge service supporting registered staff with the assessment and rehabilitation

This role includes :-
• Assessment of trauma and elective patients who have been referred Occupational Therapy
• Taking equipment out to patients’ homes and fitting items (training will be given)
• Setting up / providing follow up visits for prescribed equipment,
• maintenance of stock,
• Liaison with outside agencies and patients’ families,
• Teaching patients and their families how to use and fit the equipment
• Undertaking falls assessments

The post is based at Frimley Park Hospital but applicants must be able to travel between all Frimley Health\’s hospitals and patient\’s homes.
