Overview
We are looking for motivated Healthcare Assistants with a ‘can-do’ attitude, to join Ward 2 SEU and SDEC (Same Day Emergency Care) team at Wexham Park Hospital where we specialise in the care of general surgery and specialist surgery.
Please note that this vacancy is a Night Shift only post.

You currently must be in the UK and have current experience of working in a UK Healthcare setting as an HCA.
You will be primarily assisting the nursing team with care of the patients and will facilitate the smooth running of the department. You need to be driven and prepared to deliver high quality care and attention to detail. Key Tasks and Requirements
- To participate in all relevant departmental training under qualified supervision to attain proficiency in all required skills.
- To demonstrate effective communication skills (written, verbal & electronic) between patients and members of the multi-disciplinary team.
- To communicate effectively with patients and their relatives.
- To provide professional competent basic nursing care to patients without direct supervision including hygiene needs while maintaining patient dignity.
- To be competent in the use of point of care equipment, ensuring the timely retrieval of results are accurately communicated back to the requesting clinician.
- Comply with Trust policies & guidelines through the process of clinical governance and audit, including incident reporting.
- Report all incidents and adverse events to senior staff.
- Demonstrate ongoing competency against training plans and participate positively in Continuous Professional Development.
