Responsibilities

  • To support and work in conjunction with the IVAS team in the delivery of outpatient and ambulatory care IV services, on the Frimley site.
  • The aim of this post is to support the IVAS team in delivering outpatient IV services to prevent admission or readmission to the Trust and where possible deliver bespoke IV services to patients.
  • This clinical role is part of a developing and increasing IV services framework for Frimley site of Frimley Health.
  • Support the IV therapies clinic which will deliver infusion services for outpatients such as blood transfusions and venesections and adapt to any other IV administrations as required.
  • To work as part of the IV services team taking direction from senior team members in the administration of IV therapy and the insertion of peripheral vascular access devices.
  • Support patients undergoing IV infusions, working with EPIC to ensure an elevated level of service delivery.
  • To work within the Trust values to support other members of the team.
  • To ensure vessel health and preservation during every patient encounter.
  • To deliver high standards of care in relation to IV therapy administration and vascular access.
  • To develop effective working relationships with IVAS service users, embracing the multidisciplinary team.

About the Role

Are you a dedicated nurse looking for a full‑time role in a dynamic and supportive specialist environment? Join our team at the IVAS (Intravenous Assessment and Support) Unit at Frimley Park Hospital as a Band 5 Staff Nurse. We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and compassionate nurses to deliver high‑quality care within our outpatient infusion service. This is a full‑time position working four days a week, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
