You will lead the engineering infrastructure and site projects to ensure our production lines remain operational and efficient in a fast-paced environment.

What you will be doing

  • Manage the engineering shift supervisors and the wider team to deliver day-to-day requirements while overseeing major site installations and commissioning.
  • Focus on maintaining production targets through proactive maintenance and swift response to situational demands.
  • Oversee the site’s daily engineering function, ensuring all plant equipment and power systems maintain maximum uptime with minimal interruption.
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale production projects, managing technical documentation, compliance, and project budgets within defined timeframes.
  • Drive a culture of high performance by upskilling the engineering team, ensuring KPIs are achieved, and maintaining the highest safety and environmental standards.
  • Identify ways to optimise production performance, investigate new technological developments for equipment replacement, and reduce waste streams.

What you will bring

  • A resilient leader who can balance the technical rigours of food production with the ability to manage complex projects and diverse teams.
  • A subject matter expert capable of translating technical information into actionable goals for the wider business.
  • 5–10 years of relevant engineering knowledge and 2–4 years of managerial experience, ideally gained within a fast-paced food production industry.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications and a broad knowledge of all engineering disciplines, including food and manufacturing legislation and HAACP safety requirements.
  • A strong people manager with the ability to develop influential relationships with stakeholders and the flexibility to adapt to unexpected production demands.
