Frieze is the world’s leading platform for modern and contemporary art, dedicated to artists, galleries, collectors and art lovers alike. Frieze comprises three magazines – frieze, Frieze Masters Magazine and Frieze Week – and five international art fairs – Frieze London, Frieze Masters, Frieze New York, Frieze Los Angeles and Frieze Seoul. In October 2021, Frieze also launched No.9 Cork Street, a permanent space for visiting international galleries in the heart of Mayfair, London.
What You'll Do:
- Be the primary contact for galleries for all aspects relating to their participation in the fair:
- Manage applications launch, process and analysis
- Organise and attend selection committee meeting
- Release application results and coordinate subsequent meeting
- Support with fair floor plan process and release fair layout to exhibitors
- Coordinate and launch Exhibitor Manual
- Manage stand plan processing: advise exhibitors on all stand related queries, working closely with Production team and stand builders
- Coordinate print and online material for exhibitors in the lead up to and during the fair
- Prepare for exhibitor onsite experience and maintain high quality customer service
- Manage onsite Exhibitor Desk and temporary staff team
- Coordinate post-fair communication and contribute to post-fair debriefs
- Manage and develop digital platforms including Sugar CRM and the Frieze Portal with Digital and Data teams
- Supply information to the Content and Press teams to be included in fair promotional material
- Proof-read exhibitor sections of the fair promotional material
- Coordinate all gallery invoicing with Finance department
- Support Directors and curators with gallery cultivation, research, travels and expenses
- Coordinate production of all curated sections
- Communicate general exhibitor needs and relay specific exhibitor data to Production department and contractors
- Work alongside Production team to ensure that the contractors’ work is up to the requirements of the exhibitors and fair organisers
- Mediating between exhibitors and contractors before and at the fair
- Escalate disputes between contractors and exhibitors before/at the fair
- Maintain fair budget and timeline
- Coordinate internal teams to deliver exhibitor relations
- Maintain department procedures
- Manage Exhibitor Relations Assistant
- Contribute to department processes improvements
- Visit galleries and other art fairs for research
- Maintain accurate information on other art fairs
- Undertake research for new projects as requested
You Have These:
- At least 2 years’ experience in the Arts/Events industry
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and work collaboratively as part of a team
- Extremely organised with excellent time management skills
- Ability to mediate between multiple stakeholders in a diplomatic manner
- Strong leadership skills
- Solution oriented
- Experience managing budgets
- Experience managing databases and CMS platforms
Working Conditions:
- 12 month Maternity Cover, London Surrey Street Mon-Fri, 10am-6pm
