Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of quantity food production, standard sanitation and safety practices and procedures related to the preparation, serving, and transporting of food.
  • Utilizing and supervising the use of commercial food service equipment.
  • Use the computer to communicate with sites, access information, and place orders.
  • Estimate quantities needed and order correct amounts for economical food service.
  • Assist in requisitioning, receiving, and storing foods and supplies.
  • Prepare, cook, and bake a wide variety of food in large quantities.
  • Lift moderately heavy items and stand for sustained periods of time.
  • Supervise the operation of the kitchen.
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
  • Maintain proper care of equipment and ensure the sanitation of the kitchen.
  • Assist in inventory and maintaining records.

Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in managing.
  • Computer experience (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word).
  • Two years of experience in the preparation and serving of large quantities of food.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • ServSafe Manager Certification.
