Are you a compassionate, people person with extensive retail experience? If so, keep reading… We’re looking for an experienced retail manager to take on the role of shop manager at the Friarage Hospital Shop in Northallerton. This is a job with a difference. Not only will you be running a highly successful newsagent but also leading a team of employed staff and volunteers to:
- Deliver a valued service to patients, carers and staff at the hospital.
- Act as a shop window for the work of the Friends of the Friarage Charity.
- Know that all proceeds from the shop are reinvested into services at the Friarage Hospital.
You will have a background in retail management, and experience leading a team of people to deliver high quality customer care and the best possible financial returns. Ideally this will include working with, leading and developing volunteers. You will be passionate about service quality and customer care bringing energy and passion to the role, consistently showing your skill for working with and through people to achieve the objectives of the charity. In return, you will have a rewarding role, knowing that your contribution makes a difference to the patients, visitors and staff of the Friarage Hospital.

Contract: Permanent (subject to probationary period)
Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week (Negotiable for the right candidate)
Pay: Up to £14.20 per hour (Negotiable subject to experience)
