The predicted salary is between 11 - 16 £ per hour.

Hours: Permanent - Part Time (25 hours per week)

Working Pattern: Days - 5 days per week (Monday to Friday - 5 hours per day between the hours of 8.45 - 15.30)

Friends of the Elderly (FotE) is a not-for-profit charity dedicated to providing excellent care with a family feel, supporting older people for over 120 years. The charity provides care home and day care services for older people, as well as grants for older people in financial difficulty.

Woking Day Care in Surrey has a wide range of daily activities on offer to suit people's interests and preferences. Our compassionate team are trained to support people with dementia and we provide a range of activities that encourage social interaction and wellbeing.

As a Day Care Assistant, you will provide a high standard of holistic care and support for our clients so they can maintain independence, autonomy, choice, and lead fulfilled lives. You will:

  • Ensure clients are at the heart of our day care delivery and that their physical, social, and wellbeing needs are being met.
  • Ensure that we always offer high standards of care.
  • Facilitate a client's choice, dignity, and respect.
  • Keep our clients safe and secure.

We would like our Day Care Assistant to be someone who has a real passion for care. Empathetic and respectful, self-motivated and flexible, you will be a team player who is always willing to go the extra mile.

We welcome applications from those who are experienced in working with older people and hold a NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, however this is by no means essential! We will give you all the training you will need to excel in this role.

As this role involves dealing with vulnerable adults, successful applicants will undertake an enhanced DBS check, and any offer of employment will be dependent on a satisfactory outcome. Having a criminal record will not necessarily bar a person from working for us; this will depend on the circumstances and background of any record.
