Writing and Communications Officer
(Part time or Full Time) Leicster Based
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Friends of Al-Aqsa, a UN registered NGO on the issue
of Palestine.
The Writing and Communications Officer will lead on creating content to communicate
across print and digital channels, including social media. The individual will support the
elevation and amplification of timely and engaging content relevant to the Palestinian issue.
This role will require a dynamic person with excellent written and oral communication skills
who can work under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Providing press releases, action alerts and briefings
• Creating content for the website, social media and print media
• Assisting with the organisation of events
• Help create and implement a digital communications strategy
• Providing administrative support
• Engage with stakeholders and appropriate bodies
Salary Range: £34,000+ (for Full time / pro rata for part time, dependent on qualifications
and experience)

• Must have a degree or equivalent qualification
• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must be efficient and well-organised
• Must be flexible with time to accommodate campaigns that are determined by the
situation in Palestine
