What You'll Be Doing
- Warehouse Operations: Process and pick customer orders accurately and efficiently. Handle deliveries, unloading, sorting, and storage of goods. Pack orders for collection and delivery, handling fragile items with care. Maintain clean, safe warehouse environment and follow health and safety requirements.
- Driving and Delivery: Plan efficient delivery routes throughout Edinburgh and surrounding areas. Drive up to 3.5 tonne vehicles safely and maintain daily vehicle checks. Communicate with customers about delivery times and any changes. Keep accurate delivery records and customer authorisation documentation. Maintain professional appearance and customer-first attitude.
The successful candidate will participate in the Company Out of Hours Standby Service on a rostered basis, including cover over Bank and Statutory Holidays.
What You Need
- Good standard of education including maths and English
- Proven experience dealing with customers and driving commercially
- Full UK driving licence required
- Forklift Truck Licence advantageous (training can be provided)
