Our client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Aerospace Mechanical Assembly Engineer to join their team on a permanent day shift. This role would suit someone with previous experience assembling precision-engineered components within the Aerospace industry who enjoys working within a high-quality manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly, testing and inspection of complex mechanical products, ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical assembly of precision-engineered components and assemblies
- Bearing and bush assembly
- Installation of Lee plugs and helicoil inserts
- Use of fasteners, wire locking and beading techniques
- Self-inspection of completed assemblies
- Functional and pressure testing of finished products
- Working from engineering drawings, assembly instructions and technical documentation
- Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and workmanship throughout the assembly process
- Following aerospace quality standards and assembly procedures
Requirements (Essential)
- Previous experience within a Mechanical Assembly Engineer, Mechanical Fitter, Assembly Technician or similar position
- Proven experience working within the Aerospace industry
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly instructions
- Experience assembling precision-machined components
- Strong understanding of quality standards within a regulated manufacturing environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience assembling valves, hydraulic or fluid-control products
- Previous pressure testing experience
- Experience working within Defence, Aerospace, Precision Engineering or other highly regulated industries
- Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and documentation requirements
