Are you an experienced CNC Press Brake Operator with strong Amada experience looking for a permanent opportunity within a busy engineering and manufacturing environment?

We are recruiting for a skilled CNC Press Brake Operator to join an established engineering business based in Stonehouse.

This is a hands-on position where you will be responsible for producing high-quality sheet metal components, working accurately from engineering drawings and ensuring components are manufactured consistently to the required specifications.

Previous experience operating Amada CNC Press Brake machinery is essential for this position.

The Role

As a CNC Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for the accurate forming and bending of components while maintaining high standards of quality, productivity and safety.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Operating Amada CNC Press Brake machinery
  • Working from detailed engineering drawings
  • Selecting and using appropriate tooling
  • Setting machine parameters and making adjustments where required
  • Following bend sequences and job specifications
  • Producing components to specified dimensions and tolerances
  • Carrying out first-off and in-process quality checks
  • Measuring finished components using appropriate inspection equipment
  • Identifying and correcting issues during the manufacturing process
  • Working across both batch production and varied component work
  • Maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship
  • Ensuring machinery is operated safely and efficiently
  • Working closely with the wider engineering and production team
  • What We’re Looking For

We are looking for an experienced CNC Press Brake Operator with a strong background in engineering, sheet metal, fabrication or precision manufacturing.

You will ideally have

  • Previous CNC Press Brake experience
  • Amada Press Brake experience - essential
  • Experience working from engineering drawings
  • Good knowledge of sheet metal forming and bending
  • Understanding of bend allowances and bend sequences
  • Experience selecting and changing tooling
  • Ability to work accurately to dimensions and tolerances
  • Experience using measuring and inspection equipment
  • Good mechanical and technical understanding
  • Experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to identify and resolve manufacturing issues
  • A proactive and quality-focused approach
