Lodestone Recruitment is currently working in partnership with a growing engineering company in Sheffield who are looking to recruit a TIG welder. The business has been fortunate to experience massive growth in the last 3 years covering a range of fabrication based projects. They require an experienced TIG welder with experience working on aluminium. The fabrication shop has recently been refurbished so you will be going into a well‑run workshop.

Qualifications:

  • Apprentice trained or time-served welder with a bias in TIG welding.
  • Predominant experience in TIG welding predominantly on aluminium.
  • Experience in butt and fillet welds to full X‑ray penetrant standard.
  • Have a range of experience working on steel up to 15 mm thick.
  • Prior experience working on medium to heavy engineering projects or big fabricated parts for the Oil & Gas, Nuclear or Defence sectors to coded standard would be ideal.

Please note if you have not worked on aluminium or have limited experience, you will not be considered for this role and there is no fabrication involved.

Benefits:

  • Shifts: Regular days 7:30am‑3:30pm Monday to Friday
  • Duration: Permanent
  • Pension – Recently enhanced pension 10% contribution from employer/5% from employee
  • Overtime – Overtime available paid at T1/2
