The Role: This is a high-level strategic role for an ambitious Senior Surveyor looking to move into a position of genuine influence. Our client is a prestigious, long-established firm established in 1994 with a dominant reputation in the Industrial and Open Storage (IOS) sectors. As a Senior Surveyor, you will work directly with the Directors to drive the business forward, expanding the firm’s reach across the M25 and Home Counties. This role is designed for a fee earner who excels at business development and portfolio management, offering a clear pathway to equity partnership for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the expansion of the business within London, South East and Home Counties, with a primary focus on growing the Industrial and Open Storage (IOS) market share and gain further industrial logistics instructions.
  • Proactively identify and secure new instructions, specifically targeting institutional clients and stakeholders in the light industrial sector.
  • Lead acquisition work for an incredibly broad client base ranging from universities to plant hire businesses.
  • Actively circulating requirements to the market and ensuring maximum exposure for the firm’s needs and instructions.
  • Work with a wide range of clients, from large corporate entities to businesses requiring bespoke advice, to improve and manage their portfolios.
  • Manage assets across Retail, Industrial, Open Storage (IOS), Office, and Development sectors.
  • Coordinating and liaising with colleagues to delegate work as necessary, ensuring the department operates at peak efficiency.
  • Collaborate on high level business strategy and provide expert market insights to the board.

The Candidate:

  • Proven track record as a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS preferred) with significant experience in commercial agency or investment.
  • Prior experience with Kato CRM is highly desirable and considered an ideal advantage.
  • A strong understanding of the Industrial Logistics, Office and Open Storage sectors is highly beneficial, alongside a versatile approach to development and retail assets.
  • A natural hunter with a talent for generating new instructions and building long term relationships.
  • Strong ability to mentor staff and manage departmental workflows through effective delegation.
