Senior Project Manager – Oracle Cloud Implementation
Salary: Up to £675 per day
About the Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a pivotal role within their Oracle Finance and HR system programme. This initiative focuses on maintaining and enhancing their current Oracle cloud solution, re-implementing Oracle to address gaps and weaknesses, and delivering a new Income Management System integrated with the re-implemented Oracle solution. This position is vital to ensuring projects meet the required standards of time, cost, quality, scope, benefits, and risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide project management expertise across multiple projects or work streams, ensuring consistency in planning, resource management, risk and issue management, and adherence to governance structures.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, facilitate planning workshops, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Support the implementation of best practices and methodologies across the programme.
- Ensure effective risk and issue management processes, working with leads to address potential issues proactively.
- Capture accurate and consistent programme data for reporting, including progress against KPIs and budget tracking.
- Promote a collaborative culture within the team and support work stream colleagues in delivering this complex programme.
- Maintain and produce key documentation to ensure sustainable business change and organisational success.
- Development and maintenance of project and stage plans.
- Consistent frameworks for managing risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Timely production of highlight reports and exception/change control documentation.
- Contributions to the development of a Centre of Excellence in project and programme management.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- A degree-level qualification and PRINCE2 or equivalent certification.
- Over seven years of experience managing complex, technology-enabled transformation projects/programmes.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to work independently with strong communication and business documentation skills.
- Experience in matrix working and innovative application of project methodologies.
Additional Experience
- At least three years of experience working within large local government technology programmes in income, revenue, or benefits areas.

This role offers a competitive day rate, is outside the scope of IR35, and provides a unique opportunity to contribute to an impactful transformation programme.
