An exciting opportunity has become available with my client in South Yorkshire, who specialise in innovative simulation technologies to a variety of industries including automotive, aerospace and space. With multiple offices in Europe and an enviable client-base including ‘big names’ in these respective sectors, they have developed an outstanding reputation in the marketplace and are often seen as the ‘go to’ provider of simulation technologies across the UK and Nordics. Since launching in 1986, they have had an ongoing dedication to rewarding their workforce, along with a commitment to continually improving employee experience. As a result, they made it to the UK Best Workplaces list for small companies in 2024 and achieved the Great Place to Work accreditation again in 2025.
They are always growing and evolving and as a result, an opportunity has arisen for another Sales Development Representative to join them. As a key member of the sales and marketing team (a friendly team who all support each other and work together to ensure the company’s success), you will take ownership of driving lead generation across the UK and Nordics, through identifying new business opportunities and building strong relationships with potential clients.
The key responsibilities for your new role as a Sales Development Representative are as follows:
- Identifying new business opportunities by actively prospecting and contacting potential clients.
- Inspiring prospects to discover how the organisation can help them reach their business goals and objectives.
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with prospects.
- Collaborating with the marketing team to create and execute effective strategies for lead generation.
- Working in close partnership with the Account Managers and Customer Enablement team to maximise business opportunities.
- Attending events and exhibitions and successfully following up on leads.
This role provides a fantastic opportunity for someone with ambition and enthusiasm to contribute to the company’s overall success but without being managed by heavy KPIs and cold calling requirements – the majority of your outreach will be via email!
To be successful in this role, you will need a CAN DO attitude, good client and interpersonal skills and the ability to research and ‘join the dots together’. You will have an interest in learning about complex products, and whilst previous engineering and/or sales experience would be an ‘added bonus’; it certainly isn’t essential.
In return, my client is offering an excellent remuneration package including a base salary of £28,000 - £32,000, dependent on experience, along with quarterly bonuses; taking you up to an annual OTE of £36,000. You will also receive an excellent benefits package including 25 days holiday (+ Bank holidays), company pension, life assurance, private medical insurance, training and development opportunities and half a day paid "wellness day" every quarter.
The company are easily commutable from Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster and the surrounding areas. Please apply online if you are intrigued by this Sales Development Representative role and would like to find out more.
