This Procurement Lead position offers the opportunity to play a key role in shaping procurement strategy, driving commercial efficiencies and building strong supplier partnerships within a dynamic environment. Working closely with senior stakeholders, the Procurement Lead will support strategic decision-making, lead tendering activities and ensure procurement practices deliver innovation, compliance and long-term value.

Procurement Lead's Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that deliver cost savings, value for money, and compliance with procurement regulations
  • Lead end-to-end tendering exercises including supplier selection, tender evaluation, contract negotiation, and contract award
  • Manage procurement categories through detailed spend analysis, supplier management, and sourcing strategy development
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to support operational and strategic procurement objectives
  • Oversee supplier performance, contract management, and risk mitigation while promoting sustainable and socially responsible procurement practices

Skills & Experience Required as a Procurement Lead:

  • Previous experience in a Senior Procurement role within a regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of procurement legislation, tendering processes, contract management and supplier relationship management
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, communication, and organisational skills
  • CIPS qualification (or working towards) would be advantageous
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office systems with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously
