HGV Workshop Shift Supervisor – 2+ Years Experience Required – Preston - Permanent Role.

Silver Arrow require an experienced HGV Workshop Shift Supervisor to work for our client, a prestigious transport company, based in the Preston area.

Your Role

  • Supervising and working as part of the team of technicians and apprentices.
  • Ensuring job cards are processed in a timely manner and work is completed to the required standards.
  • Oversee and ensure that all processes are followed correctly and all health and safety rules are being adhered to.
  • Act as the main link between the managers and wider team, as well as being a key point of contact for customers where required.
  • Assist with planning and relevant training and development for the workshop staff, ensuring good communication & information flow between the front desk and service staff.
  • Supporting training and development in the workshop.

What we need from you

  • Must have a Level 3 City & Guilds qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
  • Experience managing teams, preferably workshop.
  • Ideally have a clean HGV/LGV licence however, this is not essential.
  • Experience of working in the transport industry and in a working service workshop.
  • The ability to manage teams on multiple shifts.
