Working within a highly skilled Toolroom environment, you will play a key role in manufacturing, maintaining, modifying, and repairing precision tooling. Role Responsibilities
  • Manufacture, assemble, maintain and repair press tools and mould tools to a high standard.
  • Carry out precision fitting, bench work and tool assembly activities.
  • Diagnose tooling issues and carry out repairs, modifications and preventative maintenance.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Use manual machining equipment, including milling machines, lathes and grinders, where required.
  • Support production teams by ensuring tooling remains reliable and fit for purpose.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to maximise tool performance and minimise downtime.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and housekeeping within the Toolroom.
The Person
  • Proven experience as a Press Toolmaker, Mould Toolmaker or Toolmaker within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of tool manufacture, maintenance, repair and fault finding.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Experience using manual machining equipment such as mills, lathes and surface grinders.
  • A proactive approach with strong attention to detail and pride in producing high‑quality work.
  • Applicants must have the unrestricted right to work in the UK.
  • This position is based in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. Candidates applying from outside the local area must be willing to relocate to the Stonehouse area if successful in securing the position.
