Your Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day clinical and operational leadership across the ward
- Ensure safe, effective and person‑centred care for adults with complex neurological and physical health needs
- Lead and support a multi‑disciplinary team including Nurses, HCAs, Therapists and Rehabilitation Specialists
- Maintain full compliance with CQC standards and internal governance frameworks
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments, clinical documentation and quality audits
- Support tracheostomy care, ventilated patients, PEG/enteral feeding and complex physical health monitoring
- Lead on incident reviews, safeguarding processes and quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure safe staffing levels, rota oversight and appropriate skill mix
- Coach, mentor and develop staff to enhance clinical competence and confidence
- Build strong relationships with families, commissioners and external professionals
- Promote a culture of compassion, dignity, safety and continuous improvement
- Support senior leadership with governance reporting, action plans and service development
What We’re Looking For
- Registered Nurse (RGN / RMN / RNLD) with active NMC registration
- Strong clinical background in neuro‑rehabilitation, complex care, brain injury, spinal injury or long‑term neurological conditions
- Previous experience as a Ward Manager, Deputy Ward Manager, Clinical Lead or Senior Nurse
- Confident leading teams within a high‑acuity, fast‑paced environment
- Strong understanding of CQC requirements, governance, safeguarding and risk management
- Skilled in managing complex clinical presentations, including tracheostomy and ventilated care
- Excellent communication, leadership and decision‑making skills
- Able to quickly assess service needs and implement stabilising actions
- Passionate about delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care
- Available for an interim contract and able to start promptly
