The Role
My client is growing, and they re looking for an experienced Mechanical Head of Engineering to join their team in Manchester.
This is a senior role for a hands on engineering leader who knows how to turn complex mechanical requirements into successful construction projects. You'll take ownership of mechanical project delivery, providing technical leadership from design and planning through to installation, commissioning and completion.
As Mechanical Head of Engineering, you'll be responsible for leading the mechanical engineering and project delivery function, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, commercially and to the highest technical standards.
You'll work closely with project managers, site teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers, making sure mechanical solutions are practical, coordinated and delivered right first time.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of mechanical engineering across construction projects.
- Provide technical leadership and direction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee mechanical design, coordination, installation and commissioning activities.
- Review and approve mechanical designs, specifications and technical submissions.
