Purpose of the Role:
This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate the efficient movement of containerised freight working closely with internal departments and external partners to maintain smooth operational performance.
- Serve as the main point of contact for customer enquiries relating to deliveries, collections and service updates.
- Monitor KPIs and operational performance, resolving challenges and delays while ensuring compliance with all relevant transport legislation and company procedures.
- Plan and coordinate the efficient movement of containerised freight.
- Oversee the delivery and execution of daily transport plans, collaborating with a wider depot team to ensure smooth handovers and operational continuity.
- Develop and implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency, safety and overall performance.
What we are looking for:
- Knowledge and experience of transport planning operations within the container sector would be beneficial.
- Strong understanding of UK transport legislation and compliance requirements.
- Experienced in using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word and Outlook, within a professional environment.
- Excellent IT proficiency and a proven ability to quickly embrace new technologies.
- Exceptional organisational skills and keen attention to detail.
- In depth knowledge of UK transport regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work under pressure and resolve operational challenges quickly.
