The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

The purpose of this role is to provide leadership and strategic management of the global Reward function which will include leadership of the HRIS function. In close collaboration with the Global HR Director and wider business and HR leadership, this role determines, communicates and implements the Reward strategy for all global locations, ensuring that the Company is able to attract and retain the required calibre of talent within budget and remains compliant with all rules and obligations related to Pay & Benefits across all countries. A key aspect of this role is to own all activities related to the Remuneration Committee and its governance, relationships with the UK pension trustees and US Fiduciary Committee, and Payroll. This role is part of the Components HR Leadership Team.

Responsibilities

  • Drive global Reward strategy and its communication and implementation.
  • Manage all activities related to the Remuneration Committee, including meetings, relevant paperwork, liaison with external stakeholders and authorities.
  • Lead and manage all benefit and incentive plans which apply globally (e.g. management bonus, LTIP, share schemes, EAP, etc.) and lead on design of any new global schemes.
  • Lead and co-ordinate the global annual merit increase cycle, including key communication with all stakeholders.
  • Lead and manage US & UK Payroll and benefits, including current and legacy pension schemes, and relationships with UK pension trustees.
  • Oversee the management of and relationship with the US Fiduciary Committee through a US-based team member.
  • Provide leadership on selection of third-party benefits and service providers, own the relationship and any renewal process for global providers.
  • Determine, conduct and communicate global grading and benchmarking activities.
  • Provide key stakeholders with data, insights and analysis to make appropriate Reward decisions for their teams in line with strategic vision, Company policies, norms and behaviours.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements related to Pay and Benefits (e.g. Gender Pay Gap, share scheme and short-term visitors reporting in UK).
  • Manage existing expat programmes and policies and recommend future strategy.
  • Educate HR colleagues and business managers on Reward best practice, procedures and trends, ensuring consistency of approach and value for money.
  • Oversee the effective provision and management of HRIS, including future strategy and selection of systems, providers and policies.
  • Lead and ensure efficient and effective management of the Reward and HRIS team and its financial resources, with a focus on high performance, business acumen, and identifying compliant and creative solutions to enhance business performance.
  • Identify and lead on any Reward-specific projects which may be required from time to time.
  • Partner with HR to ensure robust performance/talent management and succession planning processes are in place to support growth for both individuals, the Reward/HRIS team and the wider business.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Chartered CIPD membership (or demonstrable equivalent skills and experience).
  • Must have experience of working in an in-house Reward team in a large, complex, commercial organisation (multi-national manufacturer/distributor preferred).
  • Comfortable operating at a Strategic and Operational level within a highly matrixed, multi-country organisation.
  • Previous experience of designing and implementing reward and benefit programmes and managing projects at a global level.
  • Able to manage the needs of a growing and changing business having worked closely with highly commercially focused management teams to deliver competitive reward offerings, M&A and divestitures, and improved business performance.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build good working relationships across geographies and levels, including senior/board executives and committees.
  • Previous exposure to Remuneration Committees (desirable).
  • Experience of operating within a multi-country manufacturing or distribution organisation (desirable).
  • Effective planning and organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively when under pressure.
  • Experience of managing globally dispersed team members.
  • Able to communicate technical information to non-technical users in a clear and concise manner.
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Excel at Advanced level.

This is a hybrid role with expectation of working in either our Kidlington or Jarrow office 2-3 days per week. The role can also be considered on a reduced hours/part-time basis - 0.8 FTE.
