Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking for a stable, office‑based role where you can develop your technical expertise and contribute to the design of advanced industrial systems?

This Electrical Design Engineer role focuses on creating, developing and overseeing the design, testing and implementation of electrical systems and components across a range of technical projects. You will work closely with mechanical, software, production and quality teams to ensure designs are safe, compliant, reliable and suitable for real‑world industrial use.

Responsibilities

  • Designing electrical systems and circuits, including power distribution, control panels, motor drives and communication interfaces
  • Creating electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using CAD software
  • Specifying and selecting electrical components including sensors, actuators, power supplies, relays and circuit breakers
  • Working with mechanical and software engineers to integrate electrical designs into complete systems
  • Testing, troubleshooting and debugging electrical components and systems
  • Preparing technical documentation including schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs and assembly instructions
  • Supporting production during assembly, testing and continuous improvement activity

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working as a within electrical design engineering
  • CAD experience ideally using AutoCAD (other packages are also considered)
  • Strong understanding of electrical principles, power systems, motor controls and PLC integration
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects
