Overtime Rates:
- Weekdays: 1.5x basic hourly rate
- Saturday: 1.5x basic hourly rate
- Sunday: 2x basic hourly rate
Role Responsibilities:
- Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspections of precision-engineered components
- Operating CMM equipment to verify dimensional accuracy
- Interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T and customer specifications
- Using a range of manual measuring equipment, including micrometers, verniers, height gauges and bore gauges
- Recording inspection results and completing quality documentation accurately
- Identifying non-conforming products and supporting root cause investigations
- Working closely with Production and Engineering teams to maintain quality standards
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining high standards of housekeeping and health & safety
The Person:
The successful CMM Quality Inspector will ideally have:
- Previous experience within a Quality Inspection role in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
- Experience operating CMM equipment (preferable Aberlink or Mitutoyo)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and geometric tolerances (GD&T)
- Experience using a wide range of manual inspection equipment
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- A proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement and quality excellence
