We are now searching for a key individual to help us design, improve, support, and make our processes more agile.
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist with industry experience, ideally in manufacturing or components.
You will provide expertise in category management and procurement activities across the growing Essentra Components business.
The successful candidate will work closely with divisional groups and business teams.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage strategic (3-18 month) commodity plans with relevant stakeholders.
- Gather market intelligence to support the business with insightful commercial information.
- Work with stakeholders to define opportunities and deliver benefits.
- Apply a fact-based, insight-led approach to recommendations.
- Drive sustainability & ESG initiatives across procurement and categories.
- Execute value-for-money decisions through spend leverage, cost benchmarking, and negotiations.
- Mitigate business risks across the commodity portfolio.
- Support the NPI process and develop relationships with relevant Product Managers.
- Manage and develop commodity areas with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Support other procurement categories, including freight, indirect, and raw materials.
- Ensure adherence to procurement standards and policies.
- Monitor supplier compliance with governance requirements.
- Track cost savings and price adjustments against budgets.
- Coordinate, monitor, and report on data and pricing changes.
- Adopt a flexible, pragmatic approach to tasks.
- Promote procurement practices within the wider business.
Education, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Category-based procurement experience.
- Experience in industrial/manufacturing sectors.
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
- Ability to own and complete complex tasks.
- Experience with goods for resale and component purchasing.
- Commercial experience.
- Experience with Microsoft D365.
- Experience working in a multinational environment.
