Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the children's home, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of the children in our care.
  • Lead and manage a team of care staff, providing supervision, training, and support to promote professional development.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and external agencies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, implementing improvements where necessary.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure sustainability and high-quality service delivery.
  • Ensure a safe and welcoming environment, promoting the physical and emotional well-being of all residents.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within children's residential services.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in children's care.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building relationships.
  • Experience in developing and implementing care plans and risk assessments.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
