We are seeking a proactive

Team Leader - CNC Machining to oversee a busy production area within a modern manufacturing environment in Barnsley.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, enjoys developing people, and has a passion for driving productivity, quality, and continuous improvement.

Working alongside production and engineering teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring operational targets are achieved whilst maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and product quality.

  • Lead, motivate and support a team of production operatives within a CNC machining environment.
  • Coordinate daily activities to ensure production schedules and delivery targets are achieved.
  • Monitor productivity, quality performance and operational KPIs, implementing improvements where required.
  • Promote a strong health & safety culture, ensuring all procedures and standards are consistently followed.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and 5S principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor or similar leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and production operations.
  • Experience of working with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and process optimisation techniques.
  • Ability to effectively plan workloads and coordinate resources to achieve production objectives.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office and manufacturing or ERP systems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage, coach and develop team members.
  • Quality-focused approach with excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
