About the role and employer:
Our client is a well established, fast-growing UK manufacturer of bespoke stainless steel equipment, based in Banbury, Oxfordshire. They design and build project-specific installations and are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join their delivery team as the business continues to grow.
What you’ll do:
- Manage multiple installation projects at once, from site survey through to final customer handover
- Check and issue final layout and service drawings
- Carry out final site measurements and plan project schedules
- Liaise directly with site contacts across mechanical and electrical trades, clients and architects
- Attend pre-start and progress site meetings
- Carry out equipment demonstrations and support commissioning and handover on site
- Maintain accurate project files in line with company quality procedures
- Support general sales activity where relevant to live projects
What you’ll bring:
- Previous experience in a similar project engineer or installation delivery role
- Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical services
- A current, valid CSCS or Skillcard
- A full UK driving licence meeting company insurance requirements
- Strong communication, organisational and numeracy skills
- Confidence working both independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Flexibility to travel, with occasional overnight stays or unsocial hours as projects require
- Experience in construction, shopfitting or catering equipment industries is an advantage but not essential
