Frewen College is an independent, co-educational day and boarding school specialising in dyslexia and co-occurring Specific Learning Difficulties. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Speech and Language Therapist to join our Learning Support team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a highly specialist setting, supporting young people from Year 7 to Sixth Form to develop the speech, language and communication skills they need to access learning, build confidence and achieve their potential.
The Role
- Assess and deliver targeted interventions for pupils with dyslexia and co-occurring speech, language and communication needs.
- Support the development of phonological awareness, expressive and receptive language, language processing and literacy related language skills.
- Work collaboratively with Teachers, boarding staff, parents and external professionals to provide integrated, evidence-based support.
- Contribute to EHCPs, annual reviews and specialist reports.
- Deliver elements of the school's study skills programme, including whole class sessions.
- Provide specialist advice as part of the admissions process.
- Undertake outreach, advisory work and training as part of the school's traded portfolio.
- Play a full and active part in the wider life of a thriving school.
