You will head Speakeasy, our media training practice, designing and delivering bespoke programmes for senior leaders from leading businesses and global organisations, while elevating communication standards across the wider team. You will also serve as a trusted advisor to senior clients, offering high-impact, strategic media and corporate counsel. This is a hands-on role, partnering closely with senior leaders, where your guidance will play a pivotal role in driving client outcomes and growth.
What You’ll Do

- Act as a trusted advisor on sensitive issues and high-stakes situations.
- Provide senior executive strategic counsel on reactive & proactive comms strategy (including but not limited to media).
- Build strong relationships with media contacts and manage press engagement.
- Design and deliver workshops to elevate communication skills across the business.
What We’re Looking For
- National newsroom experience: You’ve worked as a journalist for a major outlet and understand how stories are shaped and told.
- PR agency background: You know how to craft narratives, manage clients, and navigate complex reputational challenges.
- Exceptional writing, in particular speechwriting and storytelling skills with a sharp news sense.
- Calm under pressure, with proven experience in guiding global clients through commercially sensitive media moments.
- A natural coach and communicator who can inspire confidence and capability in others.
- Embrace our cornerstones of Love & Work, which require a passion for what we do and an ability to persevere.
You will also actively participate in our belonging values – collaborating to achieve common goals, connecting with one another authentically, sharing perspectives and embracing others, and supporting each other and our experiences.
