We are seeking an exceptional, discreet and highly accomplished Private PA to support a HNW couple and oversee the seamless running of multiple residences across the UK and Italy. The successful candidate will bring substantial experience from a similar private household environment and, while this is a live-out role, will quickly become a trusted and integral part of both the wider household team and the family’s day-to-day support structure.
The role will be primarily based in London, with one day per week in Burford and occasional travel as required. Working closely with the Heads of Housekeeping, Garden teams and other private staff, the Private PA will act as a central point of coordination across the properties, ensuring smooth communication between the Principals, household teams and external suppliers. The role will also support the planning and delivery of both personal and corporate events hosted at the residences.
Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Act as the principal private support to both Principals, developing a strong understanding of their day-to-day preferences, routines and longer-term priorities.
- Serve as the main point of contact across all residences, ensuring seamless day-to-day support and exceptional attention to detail.
- Work in close partnership with Heads of Housekeeping, Garden teams and other household staff to coordinate schedules, priorities and the smooth operation of each property.
- Oversee property management across multiple locations, including London, Burford, Walberswick and Italy.
- Manage relationships with contractors and suppliers, ensuring maintenance requirements and service standards are handled promptly and to a consistently high standard.
- Support the planning and execution of personal and corporate events hosted at the residences.
- Oversee redecoration and property improvement projects as required.
- Develop and maintain household documentation, policies and procedures, carrying out regular checks and audits to ensure standards are upheld across all properties.
- Manage inventories, including art and furniture, and ensure household supplies, groceries and cleaning products are maintained appropriately.
- Process personal and property-related invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and manage family travel arrangements.
- Ensure pets are cared for to a high standard and that all relevant health checks remain up to date.
- Support the recruitment of new household staff, including coordinating the interview process, and oversee the household HR platform to ensure annual leave, sickness and TOIL records are accurately maintained.
- Maintain oversight of health and safety procedures across all properties and household teams.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, fostering a collaborative, professional and well‑motivated household environment.
