Responsibilities
- To monitor, support and ensure the service team are capable and delivering their accountabilities to meet the customer contracts.
- Design and implement a strategic sales plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensures its strong presence in the assigned business area.
- Drive the business growth and hit the sales and profitability of the responsible business.
- Work with MD to set monthly and annual sales and SGP targets.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, e.g. monthly, quarterly and/or annually as required, for the responsible business.
- Monitor economic indicators, industry trends and competition status.
- Create innovative programmes for upselling.
- Advance his/her own professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops and other educational trainings, participating in professional societies and industry networks.
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relations by partnering with them and understanding their needs and preferences.
- Provide expertise when setting and adjusting pricing plans.
- Negotiate contracts and terms & conditions with customers.
- Resolve escalated customer issues and customer complaints regarding sales and services.
- Ensure the direct report(s) work well cross-functionally with other departments to deliver the business needs.
- Organize regular key account team meetings, as needed, to follow up the daily activities with key accounts to the utmost customer satisfaction.
- Set a good example for the responsible team, work according to Freudenberg guiding principles and values, use good communication and deliver results effectively.
- Manage recruiting, objective setting, coaching and performance monitoring of direct report(s).
- Set targets, performance plans, and rigorous, objective standards for direct reports.
- Organize regular 1:1 reviews with each individual direct report.
- Ensure that the direct report(s) use sales technologies, e.g. CRM, correctly.
- Ensure that the direct report(s) work as a positive unit with other sales colleagues and share their best practices.
Qualifications
Essential
- University degree in technical, engineering or business disciplines.
- 15+ years’ experience in sales and sales management, utilizing a CRM to manage sales tasks, pipeline and closing.
- Demonstrated ability to coach direct report to higher performance.
- Ability to accurately forecast future sales turnover.
- Track record in selling intangible solutions and/or service packages.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Self-driven, motivated.
- Sense of urgency.
- Result-oriented.
- Comfortable making decisions quickly.
Desirable
- Previous experience in managing a sales team.
- Previous sales experience in the automotive industry.
- Previous track record in selling service packages.
- Industry knowledge in filtration.
