Freshwater Recruitment is supporting a leading UK organisation undergoing a major finance transformation programme and is seeking an experienced PMO Manager to drive governance, planning and delivery across a complex programme of work. The PMO Manager will work closely with senior stakeholders to set up and establish a PMO function for this large programme. You will ensure the projects remain on track, risks are managed effectively, and decision-makers have clear visibility of programme performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead PMO governance, reporting and programme controls
  • Manage integrated plans, milestones, risks and dependencies
  • Produce high-quality updates and insights for senior leadership
  • Facilitate governance forums and drive stakeholder alignment
  • Lead and develop a small PMO team while promoting best practice delivery standards

Experience needed

  • Proven experience setting up and leading PMO functions within large-scale transformation programmes (ideally within Finance)
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Excellent planning, governance and reporting expertise
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Smartsheet or similar
