Freshwater Conservative Club is nestled in the heart of Freshwater and embraces the community spirit and friendship. Founded on principles of providing a friendly welcome, it offers a meeting place for locals to enjoy the facilities.

The Club Secretary is the chief administrative officer of the club responsible for the compliant and efficient operation of the club, providing a co-ordinating link between members of the club, the officers, committee and outside agencies.

Main duties

  • To organise, summon and attend all main committee meetings and the AGM taking minutes of the proceedings.
  • Ensuring the club adheres to the club law and management directives on best practice provided by the Association of Conservative Clubs.
  • Maintain a record of club members.
  • To ensure that the Club is registered under the provisions of the Licensing Acts.
  • To comply with the requirements of the HMRC.
  • Maintain effective communication with the chairman and other officers.

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Maintain confidentiality on club and member matters.
  • Be computer literate understanding the use of Microsoft solutions (Word, Excel).
