A client in the public sector digital services industry is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join the team for 12 months. You will provide hands-on technical delivery across the full data stack on a major counter-fraud analytics program, working closely with a multidisciplinary team. You will report into the data and analytics lead, helping to enhance fraud detection capabilities and support better data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver hands-on data science and analytics within a cross-functional counter-fraud team.
- Diagnose issues, articulate risks and propose practical solutions in a fast-moving, resource-constrained environment.
- Collaborate effectively with civil service stakeholders and contractor teams, contributing to an established roadmap.
Requirements:
- Proven full-stack data experience from pipeline build through to analysis and deployment.
- Able to work autonomously, navigate ambiguity and independently resolve complex technical problems.
- Holds valid BPSS clearance within the last 12 months and current SC clearance.
