Roles: Engagement Managers and Consultant - Senior Consultant ~ Financial Services (Lending)

The project: A top-tier consultancy is hiring at Consultant, Senior Consultant and Engagement Manager levels for 2 Vendor Due Diligence Projects which are running in parallel across the lending industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct end-to-end assessment of third-party vendors/suppliers, evaluating capability, reliability, and strategic fit with client requirements.
  • Assess vendor operational performance, including service delivery quality, capacity, scalability, and track record across comparable engagements.
  • Evaluate commercial and contractual terms, reviewing pricing structures, cost drivers, SLAs, and risk allocation to ensure competitiveness and alignment.
  • Perform risk assessment, identifying operational, financial, regulatory, and reputational risks associated with vendor selection and ongoing engagement.
  • Analyse financial stability of vendors, including revenue profile, profitability, and sustainability to ensure long-term viability.
  • Lead stakeholder interviews, engaging internal teams (procurement, operations, IT) and external vendor representatives to validate capabilities and claims.
  • Benchmark vendors against market alternatives, assessing relative strengths, weaknesses, and differentiation across the supplier landscape.
  • Review governance and delivery models, including resourcing structures, escalation processes, and performance management frameworks.
  • Assess technology, systems, and integration capabilities, where relevant, ensuring compatibility with client infrastructure and future requirements.
  • Develop vendor evaluation frameworks and scoring models, supporting objective comparison and recommendation of preferred suppliers.
  • Synthesize findings into clear recommendations, providing a fact-based view on vendor selection, negotiation levers, and areas for risk mitigation.

Requirements:

  • MBB or Top-tier Consultancy experience.
  • Experience of leading/supporting Vendor Due Diligence projects.
  • Exposure to Motor or Property lending industries, or Financial Services.
  • Excellent communication and presenting skills.
  • Excellent client management and communication.
