A client in the UK energy sector is seeking a Consultant with prior exposure to Energy Debt Analysis to join the team for a five-week engagement. You will work as part of a small consulting team, reporting to a project lead, to analyse debt data and support the development of a clear, evidence-based report and senior-level presentation. The objective is to translate complex quantitative analysis into structured insights to inform policy and commercial decision-making within the heat networks / district heating context.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse energy debt datasets to identify key trends, drivers and implications
  • Review and lightly refine an existing quantitative model to support analysis
  • Develop clear, evidence-based insights and balanced arguments, including around social tariffs
  • Support the drafting of a client-facing report and senior-level presentation materials

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills with experience working with quantitative datasets and models
  • Excellent written communication skills, with experience producing high-quality reports or slide decks
  • Good understanding of UK energy debt, affordability issues and the policy context
  • Ability to work independently and deliver at pace on a short, intensive project

  • Location: Largely Remote Based with occasional travel to Nottingham potentially required
