A client in the business intelligence/publishing industry is seeking a Process Mapping Consultant to join the team for 3 months. You will document and streamline core data workflows, working closely with research, data science and product teams to support operational efficiency. You will report to the project lead overseeing data operations transformation, with the objective of improving clarity, scalability and long‑term workflow design.
Responsibilities
- Document key data processes across LP, GP, fund and deal workflows in a clear and structured format
- Create materials that support onboarding of new staff and agency workers
- Ensure teams follow defined policies and practices
- Translate operational processes for data science and automation teams
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce processing time
- Assess the feasibility and practical value of automation and AI initiatives
- Act as a link between research, data science and product teams
- Provide light organisational design recommendations to optimise long‑term research efficiency
- Advise on where work should sit within the operating model to maximise value
Requirements
- Strong experience in process mapping and operational optimisation
- Ability to document complex data workflows with clarity and structure
- Skilled in identifying efficiency opportunities in research or data operations
- Understanding of AI and automation concepts and how they apply to workflows
- Confident working with data science, research and product teams
- Comfortable providing pragmatic organisational design input
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Proactive, analytical and able to work independently in a fast‑moving environment
- Familiarity with private markets data (LP, GP, fund or deal information) is a bonus
