A client in the consumer goods industry is seeking a Finance Director to join the team for a 6 month contract. You will lead technical accounting, financial governance and compliance across the EMEA region, reporting into the Senior Finance Director. You will ensure robust controls, accurate reporting and support audit readiness within a fast paced, high growth environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own US GAAP technical accounting including revenue recognition, Opex, inventory and lease accounting
  • Lead SOX compliance including control design, testing and remediation activities
  • Partner with auditors and deliver monthly and quarterly close reporting
  • Drive improvements across financial processes, systems and controls

Requirements

  • Strong background in Big 4 and industry within large multinational consumer or retail organisations (5 years in each)
  • Deep expertise in US GAAP with exposure to IFRS and local GAAP frameworks
  • Proven experience in SOX compliance, controllership and financial reporting
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
