Data Strategy Consultant

Freshminds is supporting a boutique consulting firm on a 6-8 week engagement with an e-commerce business. The project involves assessing and designing an operational data strategy to enable future vendor selection and implementation. This includes planning, architecture design, and orchestration strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational data strategy assessment for an e-commerce client.
• Develop a comprehensive data strategy roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Design and plan data architecture and orchestration approach.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in.
• Provide recommendations for future vendor selection (implementation phase follows later).

Requirements

• Principal-level consultant with a top-tier consulting background (e.g., MBB or equivalent).
• Proven experience in data strategy within retail or e-commerce environments.
• Strong understanding of operational data architecture and orchestration.
• Ability to work independently and remotely, delivering high-quality outputs under tight timelines.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
