A client in professional services is seeking an Investments Business Case Lead to join the internal Strategic Investments team through to the end of the year with potential to extend. You will lead the conversion of a prioritised pipeline of strategic investment ideas into decision‑ready business cases for Board review. Reporting into the Head of Investment – Finance, you will work closely with the CFO, Group Managing Partner, and senior investment owners to shape narratives, frame options, and deliver board‑grade materials ahead of key decision windows.
Responsibilities
- Convert prioritised investment ideas into board‑ready business cases, including narrative, options, and execution plans.
- Develop execution roadmaps, resourcing models, milestones, and mobilisation plans.
- Lead board‑pack development (approval memos, decision papers, evaluation outputs) across multiple parallel cases.
- Constructively challenge senior stakeholders and coordinate with Finance, Recruitment, and Systems teams.
Requirements
- 6-10+ years' experience in corporate development, value creation, strategy, or strategic finance roles.
- Experience working for a consultancy house on M&A and Strategy projects.
- Strong track record in investment narrative development, options framing, and capital allocation cases.
- Experience engaging and challenging senior stakeholders (Partner, C‑suite, or Investment Committee level).
- Ability to deliver board‑grade written and visual outputs while managing multiple workstreams in parallel.
