Freshly Greated is a community-led arts project, funded by Arts Council and based in Great Yarmouth. We work with local residents to plan free, exciting, and creative events for our local communities. Our programme for young people, Our Space, runs twice weekly and staff regularly work with young people to plan upcoming activities - this can be anything from karaoke nights to running activities at big Freshly Greated events! We're really proud to offer an inclusive atmosphere - whether a young person just wants a space to quietly unwind or they want to get fully stuck in with planning & activities, we make it happen. Over 50% of our participants identify as neurodiverse, and we work hard to provide a space that builds confidence, encourages connections, and shows that everyone can be creative.
The Role
- Supporting Our Space sessions, with a genuine focus on youth-led programming & delivery
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, neurodiverse friendly, and supportive environment for young people
- Building positive relationships and engaging with young people from a range of backgrounds
- Following safeguarding procedures and signposting young people to further support when needed
You Will Need
- A Level 2 qualification in Youth Work
- At least 6 months' experience in a Youth Work setting
- An enhanced DBS (or be willing to get one before starting in the role)
Peggotty Road Community Centre, Great Yarmouth, NR30 3EF
Approximately 7.25 hours per week, comprising shifts on Tuesdays and Thursdays (5:00 pm–8:30 pm), plus a one-hour supervision session each month
