The Global Event Executive (UK) will support the UK Event Managers with all day-to-day tasks, ensuring the successful delivery of client and internal events in line with the firm’s growth strategy.
Key responsibilities
- Corporate Hospitality Bookings: Manage day-to-day bookings for ticketed hospitality events such as cricket, tennis, and rugby, ensuring guests feel that attending an event is worthwhile by focusing on creating memorable experiences.
- SharePoint Site Maintenance: Maintain the corporate hospitality SharePoint site and communicate with BD and practice areas on upcoming events, sharing information on event options, new venue openings, and creative event ideas.
- Venue and Supplier Research: Keep the team’s knowledge up to date with the latest trends, suppliers, and new openings. Develop a comprehensive master deck of venues, suppliers, and hospitality options.
- Best Practice Tools and Resources: Support the global team with updating and maintaining best practice tools and resources, promoting self-service and allowing the events team to focus on high-priority tasks.
- Event Data Management: Ensure event data is kept up to date in Salesforce and Eventogy, reminding the team to update information on costs, guests, and feedback.
- Invite Process Coordination: Coordinate and monitor the invite process with BD/Conran/CRM, ensuring branding and language consistency, and guide BD teams with list building and event reports.
- Event Delivery and Onsite Support: Support Global Event Managers (UK) with event delivery and onsite support, including preparation and assistance during larger conferences, potentially outside of regular working hours.
- Corporate Membership Advisory: Lead advisory on corporate membership opportunities in London, working with the London Management Team to identify opportunities that support future events and offer employee benefits.
Key requirements:
- Essential: Demonstrable experience in the Event industry ideally with experience in professional organisations (legal, accountancy, technology, consultancy).
- Strong emotional intelligence and creativity; independent thinking and execution; demonstrably mature professional judgment in areas such as relationship management, event risk assessment and venue management.
- Excellent teamworking and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally with clients and suppliers.
- Strong multi-tasking and project management skills; multiple deadlines and changing project criteria with meticulous attention to detail and resilience under pressure.
- Excellent written, presentation and oral communications skills, with demonstrated excellence in grammar and proofreading.
- Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Suite software (Word, Powerpoint, Excel).
- Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment and deliver against tight deadlines and high expectations.
- Natural curiosity and propensity to learn; enthusiasm to build skills and responsibilities as a trusted expert and advisor to the business.
Desirable:
- Experience with virtual event technology and delivery platforms.
