b Overview /b p In this role you will support a top-tier private equity practice within Freshfields’ GMAC group, handling cross-border and complex transactions for financial sponsor clients. You will work closely with a global network of lawyers, contributing to large M A deals, carve-outs, co-investments and restructurings while developing your capabilities. The role combines client-facing business development with rigorous legal work and increasing responsibility. You will join a leading, globally-ranked team that emphasizes training, mobility, and long-term progression. You will help shape deal execution and cross-border collaboration on high-stakes transactions. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Handle a broad mix of large, cross-border corporate transactions for private equity and financial sponsor clients /li li Contribute to deals across a wide range of market sectors and structure types /li li Participate in business development initiatives with financial sponsor clients /li li Collaborate with international colleagues on cross-border matters and supervision of junior lawyers /li li Support client service delivery with strong technical and commercial judgement /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li At least 2 years post-qualification experience as a solicitor in England Wales, or equivalent common law qualification with strong academic record /li li Corporate and private equity experience at a leading firm, including cross-border transactions /li li Excellent technical legal skills and strong commercial judgement /li li Ability to work effectively in a team and supervise junior lawyers /li li Strong oral and written communication skills /li li Willingness to take on responsibility and manage a heavy workload /li li Commitment to delivering excellent client service /li li Proactive involvement in business development and knowledge management /li /ul ul li clear and effective communicator /li li team player /li li proactive in business development /li li private equity experience /li li cross-border transactional experience /li li corporate law /li /ul
