General Manager (Maternity Cover)

Overview

Fresh is seeking a dynamic and passionate General Manager to join us on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to cover a period of maternity leave. You’ll lead operations at Sketch House, our vibrant 475‑bed student accommodation development just five minutes’ walk from Finsbury Park Underground and National Rail station. We’re looking for a motivated leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, values excellence, and wants to make a meaningful impact on the resident experience.

In this role, you’ll lead a dedicated on‑site team, fostering a supportive and safe community for residents while driving operational performance. You’ll take ownership of the day‑to‑day management of the building, including budgets, compliance, stakeholder relations, and team leadership, ensuring the site continues to deliver exceptional standards throughout the fixed‑term period.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the on‑site team to deliver an outstanding resident experience.
• Manage budgets and drive operational efficiency.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Ensure health, safety and compliance standards are consistently met.
• Support and motivate your team to achieve great results and uphold Fresh’s high standards.

About You

• Experienced leader with a background in managing residential, hospitality or student accommodation operations.
• Proven experience overseeing day‑to‑day site operations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Passion for creating positive resident experiences and thriving team environments.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and deliver results.
